Twenty years ago, my teenage son died of cancer. Everything that gave life meaning — family, faith, career — collapsed with him. The question that haunted me wasn’t why me, but why does any of this happen at all?

Religion said it was sin. Spirituality said it was karma. Psychology said it was bad luck and grief. None of it held up.

So I went looking for evidence. I spent two decades dissecting belief systems, first inside Christianity, then its first-century roots, then through the labyrinth of New Age ideology. Each promised truth but recycled the same machinery of obedience and blame.

Gnosticism broke the pattern. It didn’t ask for faith — it demanded perception. It treated suffering not as punishment, but as data from a false system designed to keep consciousness looping.
